How hungry are you?
Choose the meal plan that best fits your needs. If you decide to change to a different meal plan, please see the Auxiliary Services Office.

SU Identification Cards
These cards are valuable property and have a monetary value, so keep an eye on your card! ID’s are non-transferable. They must be presented to the checker at each transaction. These cards can be used not only at a dining services location, but also at locations around campus, such as vending machines and the library.

Meal Plan Options
Prices are available through the Auxiliary Services Department in Wilkins
Hall or Student Living Web Page, or contact the Shenandoah University
Business Office at 540-665-4514.

Meal Plan
A meal plan allots a certain number of meals per week to your card, ranging from
5 to 21 per week. Each meal period (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Late Night at
Hornet Grill) is considered a "meal." When you enter a dining establishment, your
card is swiped and one meal is taken off your card. Meals do not transfer from week
to week. One meal may be used per period.

Flex
Flex is a debit account that you have to spend in any location that accepts flex (Hornet Grill and
HPB Café). It can be used to purchase additional food or meals, a cup of coffee before class or a sandwich. Additions can be added at any time by stopping by the Dining Services Office at Allen Dining Hall.

Meal Equivalency
This is an option that may be used at specific hours at the Hornet Grill. Your "meal" is given a dollar amount that you may spend at the location. If your selections exceed the meal equivalency total,
you may use flex to pay the balance.

Commuter Block Meal Plan
Eat on campus...we always have a space for you! 50 Meals per semester plus $75 flex & 5 guest passes. Save over the cash door price @ Allen Dining Hall, and use your meal exchange at the
Hornet Grill, Campus Coffee, or the Health Professions Building Cafe(plus meal plans are tax-exempt-something parents think is cool). Call the Shenandoah University Business Office at 540-665-4514.
